We visited the art room today with Mrs. Miller (Lukes's Mom) and her art students. We took a tour of the room where her art students build things and learned about "cross hatching". The illustrator of "Where The Wild Things Are" uses this technique. Their masterpieces are in their backpacks today.
Our art from Ms Lee's class is hanging in Willett Hall and throughout the kindergarten. If you get a chance, come and take a look.
Our Jelly Bean Journals will come home tomorrow. They are a treasure!! We have had a very special time together learning about Jesus and the resurrection. The last page of the journal talks about our new tomorrow in heaven. I wish you could have been with us as we described what we think heaven is going to be like....priceless.
All Easter Eggs are present and accounted for and ready to head to our hunt. We are all so excited. Just a reminder, we will leave for the hunt after our Easter Chapel. Drivers please be at the school by 9:00. We will return to Trinity by 11:30.
I hope that you and your family have a blessed Easter as we celebrate our RISEN Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!

Wow! The Froggy Store was a big success! Each child took the coins they had earned and went shopping. Our senior friend, Julie Trumble, helped to run the store. The children had a choice to spend all of their coins, save them to buy a more expensive item next week, or spend some/save some. They each had the opportunity to count out their money to pay for the item they chose. Next, they helped count out their change. What a fun learning experience. The Froggy Store will be open each Friday until the end of the year (Wednesday - this week only). Thank you for donating items. This class is very motivated! They love to shop! (Me, too)
This week we continue with our short e word families (en, ed, et) and Easter readers. We will complete our money unit and engage in a bit of Jelly Bean math! We have been working hard on our "jelly bean journals". I cannot wait for them to share it with you. Benjamin's Box and the resurrection eggs have helped us learn about the Easter Story. Ask us about the special items he placed in the box.
Remember, numbered eggs (#1-16) are due by Tuesday.
Our Egg Hunt is Thursday at Seawell's house and we are out on Good Friday.
Have a blessed week!
